To schedule an appointment, please reach out to me through my contact page. You can give me a call, email, or fill out and submit your contact information. Please allow 24-48 hours for response time, although I usually am a fast responder. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations to those who would like to ask questions and test the waters to see if we would be a good fit.
Appointment hours are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Before your appointment, it is best if you fill out and send back the intake paperwork that I will send you over email. It is also most beneficial for you to show up 15 minutes early to complete any preliminary paperwork (especially for your first visit). Payment is handled either through check payment or through web based payment services such as PayPal, Venmo, or Google Wallet.
What do i need to know regarding fee for services?
At this time, I am currently accepting insurance from Oscar, Cigna, United, Oxford, Optum, UMR, and Aetna. My session rate is 130 dollars for a 50 minute hour which can be paid by cash, check, web transfer with Zelle or GPay, or credit card processing through Square.
For select low income clients or clients with extenuating financial circumstances, we can discuss a variable sliding scale rate for sessions. My sliding scale goes from 120-80 dollars per hour.
What should I know before i go?
I recommend arriving to your first appointment 15 minutes early to account for any new onboarding paperwork. Ideally, you will have completed the intake paperwork and sent it back to me before your first session. Payment is collected before session.
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and typically are most effective when held on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Therapy can be brief (less than 10 sessions) or longer depending on a variety of factors and the nature of therapeutic goals. It is best if we keep open communication about how things are progressing to gauge the best length of treatment.
During our first session we will begin getting to know one another, delving into the issues that brought you in, and developing your goals for therapy. I will explain how confidentiality works in therapy and the informed consent process. The first one or two sessions are often more structured and interview style as I understand the nature of "the problem" and your personal context. My style is collaborative and I consider myself your equal partner in the change process, if something is not working, we address it together and readjust.
There are no dumb questions, so please feel free to ask me anything about the therapy process during your session or while making your appointment.
What is your office's policy on COVID-19?
Please follow current CDC guidelines and do not come to therapy if you are feeling sick or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19. I will follow the same protocols, your health and safety are very important to me!
